1.1Treat all players and staff with respect. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination and personal attacks of any kind will not be tolerated.
1.2Keep all chat clean and appropriate. Excessive swearing, offensive language and inappropriate topics are not permitted in public channels.
1.3English only in public chat. Other languages are welcome in private messages and town chats.
1.4No spamming, excessive caps or flooding chat with repeated messages.
1.5No advertising other servers, websites or Discord servers in any chat channel.
1.6Impersonating staff members or other players is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate ban.
1.7Political, religious and other divisive real world topics are not permitted in public chat. Ashbourne is a place to escape, not debate.
2.1Griefing is strictly prohibited. Destroying, stealing from or modifying another player's build or town without permission will result in a permanent ban. CoreProtect logs everything.
2.2Stealing from other players or unlocked containers is not permitted outside of active Towny Wars.
2.3Scamming other players in trades, deals or agreements is prohibited. All trades should be conducted fairly and honestly.
2.4Exploiting bugs, glitches or duplication methods is strictly forbidden. Report any discovered exploits to staff immediately.
2.5Hacking, cheating or using unauthorized modifications that provide an unfair advantage is a permanent ban offence. This includes xray, fly hacks, speed hacks and kill aura.
2.6AFK farming and AFK machines designed to exploit the Jobs system are not permitted.
2.7Intentionally lagging or crashing the server through any means is a permanent ban offence.
2.8Tp killing — teleporting a player to you with the intention of killing them — is strictly prohibited outside of PVP enabled zones.
3.1PVP is entirely optional on Ashbourne. Players must have PVP enabled to engage in combat. Forcing or tricking players into PVP situations is not permitted.
3.2Camping spawn or safe zones to hunt new or returning players is not permitted.
3.3Towny Wars are the only sanctioned form of organised PVP. Wars must be declared through the proper Towny channels.
4.1Land claims must be reasonable. Claiming excessive land to prevent others from building nearby — claim blocking — is not permitted.
4.2Abandoned towns may be reclaimed by staff after a period of inactivity. Mayors who know they will be away for an extended period should contact staff.
4.3Town names and nation names must follow the same standards as general conduct. No offensive, inappropriate or impersonating names.
5.1Market manipulation through exploiting pricing bugs or artificially inflating or crashing the economy is not permitted.
5.2All trades and deals must be completed as agreed. Backing out of a completed deal after receiving payment is considered scamming.
5.3Real world trading — exchanging in-game items or currency for real money outside of the official store — is strictly prohibited and results in a permanent ban.
6.1Staff decisions are final on the server. If you believe a decision was unfair you may appeal through our Discord server.
6.2Do not argue with staff in public chat. Take disputes to private messages or the appropriate Discord channel.
6.3Attempting to bribe, threaten or manipulate staff members is a permanent ban offence.
6.4Ban evasion through the use of alternate accounts is a permanent ban offence for all associated accounts.
